The EEA includes all members of the European Union (Austria, Belgium, Bulgaria, Croatia, Cyprus, Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Ireland, Italy, Latvia, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Malta, Netherlands, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden, and the United Kingdom), plus Norway, Iceland, Switzerland and Liechtenstein.

If you do not hold a passport from one of the countries listed above, then you count as a non-European student and must pay international student tuition fees. The exception are students from Surinam, who pay the same tuition fee as Dutch students.

If you are married to or otherwise family-related to an EEA citizen living in The Netherlands, you might be allowed to pay the
