Holland is a country famous for its wooden shoes, cheese, windmills and tulips. These symbols represent our huge achievements in horticulture and our trade and export of fresh produce, such as our flowers, plants and vegetables. The Netherlands is a world leader in the dairy cattle and horse breeding business and our cows are able to produce enormous quantities of milk. In addition,we are considered to be top ranking in the equine sector, both in sports and trade. And speakingof trade, our docks in Rotterdam are an important transit location for trade from all over the world. Did you know that almost half of the Netherlands lies below sea level? We are experts in watermanagement. Not only do we possess extensive knowledge about dikes and dredging, but also about sewage treatment and the use of windmills for clean and sustainable energy.
