Campus Leeuwarden

You will want for nothing on our location in Leeuwarden. The school building was designed by Atelier PRO-architects in The Hague and was built using high quality, natural materials. Noteworthy are our own sewage treatment system and the hothouses on the roof. Because of the spacious (practice) rooms and the large amount of incoming light, it is a true pleasure to be working and studying in Leeuwarden.

A tour of the building shows visitors different-sized classrooms and study corners, and extensive laboratories and research halls with modern facilities and equipment to be used by students and by (research) staff, for instance in chemical and biological (waste) water treatment. Van Hall Larenstein also has the use of an ultra-modern pilot plant for all food technologies, to benefit the students and to carry out research contracts.

Besides these features, the Van Hall Larenstein building contains a well-equipped multi-media centre and computer laboratories with sufficient work stations to allow access for all to internet and e-mail facilities. Furthermore, the building has a rooftop greenhouse, an animal centre, an auditorium, state-of-the-art video-conferencing facilities, and many other features that make it a pleasant environment in which to work and study. Further examples of this are a reprographic centre, the student pub 'Grand Café', and a food court offering a variety of hot and cold meals.
