Gender Mainstreaming in Projects and Programmes
In this course you will build your confidence in dealing with gender imbalances in development interventions and society. You practise the use of different (management) tools and models for gender inclusion and mainstreaming. Through interactive course sessions you learn to systematically analyse gender differences in interest and influence and define concrete strategies to help you achieve equitable development benefits for all your beneficiaries. You learn to work with change management processes and networking to explore your capacities as a change agent.

At the end of this course you are able to:
apply a gender perspective in the life cycle of a development intervention. In identification, formulation, planning, implementation, monitoring and evaluation;
apply an Appreciative Inquiry approach at relevant stages of the project or programme;
design project and programmes, monitor and evaluate on gender equality and act as a change agent in the change process;
prepare a gender assessment of your development intervention.
This course will be highly relevant if you are:
a project staff member, advisor, desk officer, trainer or consultant;
working in development projects, programmes and policy making;
involved in facilitating integration of non discriminatory behaviour and equality between men and women.
You specifically learn about gender mainstreaming in projects and projects. You go through each stage in Project Cycle management and learn about the related gender issues. Familiarity with project cycle management therefore is beneficial for this particular course.
