VHL University of Applied Sciences (VHL) Velp joins the Global Goals Jam 2019 on 20 September. The organizers try to realize such a GG Jam at least in every province in Holland. In addition to VHL, HAN and various other colleges are also participating. The Global Goals Jam will be all day on September 20 from 9.15 am at our location in Velp.
The Global Goals Jam is a joint action programme with the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) and Digital Society School. Since 2016 creative teams have met globally during one or two days to design local solutions from the perspective of the Sustainable Development Goals also known as Global Goals. With the help of practical toolkit designed by the Digital Society School, all kinds of organisations (schools, enterprises. NGOs and local Governments) come into action with local communities to contribute to the achievement of the SDGs. Participants become designers with a mix of students, professionals from various disciplines (creative, sustainability, business etc.) and neighbours of local communities. Exchange of ideas and practically design solutions! More information: www.globalgoalsjam.org.
A full day of practice to contribute to a future-proof world with exposure to unexpected creative minds from all societal levels. Of each Jam in the Netherlands one team is invited for the 25th of September SDG Action Day in Amsterdam. SDG Charter will select 3 teams to pitch their idea on the main stage at the SDG House in Amsterdam.
The Global Goals Jam will be at VHL in Velp on Friday 20 September and starts at 9.15 am. Register through the Global Goals Jam registration form or via www.hvhl.nl/ggjam2019.
