Joost

‘My ultimate goal is to start my own small goat/cow farm in Norway’

Joost finished his studies Animals, Society and Business succesfully. During one of his internships he found out what it is he is really is passionate about.

'I’ve had a passion for nature from an early age, and I love outdoor sports. My interest in farming came when I worked in Norway on a small scale farm. I wanted to learn more about agriculture and farm practices, mainly aimed at goats and cows, so I started my (bachelor) studies in Animal Husbandry at VHL. My internship at the beginning of the second year was one of the highlights. I did a lot of practical work with the animals on the farm. In addition, setting up a fictional company within the sector was also a very fun and a real challenge.

Back to Norway
My ultimate goal is to return to Norway, where I would like to start my own small goat/cow farm. I am a very hands-on person and do not think I'd enjoy an office job. In addition, Norway offers me the nature that I love so much.'
