Welcome! My name is Linda Rentier and I am the International Recruitment Officer for Van Hall Larenstein University of Applied Sciences (VHL). I help potential students with all their questions in online meetings, via email or whatsapp or in person when I visit education fairs across the globe. I look forward to meeting you!

Deciding to study abroad is one of the most valuable investments you can make in yourself. It provides you with a new perspective, invaluable personal and professional connections and experiences that you can carry with you for your whole career and life. It means immersing yourself in a new culture, a new way of thinking and gaining life shaping experiences. Today’s globalised world is increasingly seeking people with these skills, internationally minded professionals who are able to communicate effectively with people from various cultures and backgrounds.

Having studied and worked abroad myself, I understand it can be a daunting decision and one you want to make with all the facts at hand.  It’s natural that you have questions or doubts. That’s where I come in.  I’m here to help you gain a greater understanding of the opportunities at VHL, from more detailed explanations of our programmes through to practical matters such as housing arrangements or what it’s like to live and study in The Netherlands.
