Start of the 2020-2021 academic year

Because of the corona measures, education will take on slightly different forms in the first months of the 2020-2021 academic year. However, we still aim to give you the best possible start. At this point, the study programmes – together with the student associations – are organising a nice introduction day for you, which will enable you to quickly get to know your fellow students. This introduction is scheduled for week 36 (August 31-September 4) and will consist of educational activities in the morning and introductory activities in the afternoon and evening. You can read more about this on the page You have enrolled. What happens next?

Education in periods 1 and 2

Fortunately, the corona measures are increasingly being relaxed. For the time being, we still have to assume that study programmes will continue to be 80% online in periods 1 and 2 (until January 2021). What will one-and-a-half-metre education look like in this situation? All first-year students will receive at least one day (or two half-days) of on-site education a week. This allows you, as a new student, to get to know your fellow students, your lecturers and the university of applied sciences. We are also looking at how we can make online education more personal, e.g. by working with smaller groups of students in learning teams. We will offer lectures that are intended for a large group of students on location for part of this group, while the rest can simultaneously follow the lectures on a screen at home. Should the corona measures be relaxed further, we will adjust planning and scheduling accordingly.

Priority for new students and study mentoring activities

When planning and scheduling study programmes, we will give priority to first-year students, international students and activities related to study mentoring activities.

Do you have any questions?

We can imagine that the above will not answer all your questions. Due to the ever-changing measures, we do not yet know exactly what the world will look like in September. We will keep you informed of any changes as much as possible. We will do so by e-mail if you have already enrolled with us or otherwise via this website. If you have any specific questions about your admission or enrolment, please contact the Student Service Center on (058) 284 62 32 or
